On December 1, 2012 Suncoast Motorsports in Sarasota, Florida hosted the 2012 Holiday Toy Run, with all proceeds going to the Toys for Tots foundation. The event kicked off with the monthly Cars & Coffee meet, followed by a spirited 80-mile road rally through the countryside, and arrived back at Suncoast for a cookout. Over 50 cars attended Cars & Coffee in the morning and 36 cars made the journey on the traffic-free roads in East Sarasota County.
An entire pallet box was overflowing with toy donations and a check for $350 was presented to the Toys for Tots foundation. Thank you to everyone who donated and participated. We’ll see you all next year! Continue reading →
The annual Orlando Supercar run departed from Lamborghini Palm Beach and headed West to the Portofino Resort Hotel in Orlando, Florida. About 25 cars made the journey for an overnight stay at the beautiful resort across the street from Universal Studios. My camera car was a gorgeous Maserati Gran Turismo Convertible. After a charity car show I attended with one of my sponsors, Suncoast Motorsports in Sarasota, Florida, I had the opportunity to take a 2013 Porsche 991 Carrera S out for some photos. This car was fitted with a factory Aerokit and a 7-speed PDK transmission with Launch Control. I brought it down to one of my favorite locations with just enough light left to get a few shots in.
Another great turnout at Suncoast Motorsports, the host of our local Cars & Coffee and my newest sponsor. If you’re in the Sarasota, Florida area on the first Saturday of every month be sure to stop by and check it out. The meet runs from 8-10am with snacks and Starbucks coffee provided. All makes and models welcome! Continue reading →
Just as I did a year ago at the 2011 Ferrari Challenge event in South Florida I was on hand as a media photographer shooting exclusively for Teamspeed.com. The day started out at The Collection for breakfast with a tasty lineup of beautiful Ferraris. We departed on a police escorted caravan to the race track for hours of fun out on the road course. A catered lunch before the Challenge race kept everyone refreshed during the day. Over 100 street cars and twenty 458 Challenge race cars attended the event. Continue reading →
It has gotten rather difficult to continually explain the emotions that I feel while working alongside my good friend Brian Guy, owner of AOWheels, Florida’s premiere paint correction specialist. After photographing his amazing craftsmanship on an Aston Martin DBS, a BMW Z8, the iconic Ferrari F40, and most recently one of the most desirable hypercars on the planet, I can honestly say I’m one of the luckiest photographers and car enthusiasts in the world. With the recent addition of Lotus Southpointe to my beautiful hometown of Sarasota, Florida I had the opportunity to take out a 2012 Lotus Evora S for some photos throughout Downtown Sarasota. A special thanks goes out to Ryin and the team at Lotus Southpointe.
A good friend of mine really knows how to have fun. Every time I’ve seen him behind the wheel of his highly modified Ferrari 355 Challenge he’s grinning from ear to ear. This image is of my friend ripping up Sebring International Raceway during a Ferrari Challenge Club Racing event in 2011. I’ll never forget what he told me that weekend: “Drive fast and take risks.”
My daughter, Liliana Peyton, is now 8 weeks old. We decided to let her try some real food and Gerber Pears were on the menu. At first we saw some funny faces but she then began to really enjoy it. This is a little different from my usual posts but much more special to me.
The word “Murciélago” means bat in the Spanish language. It was also the name of a famous bull that survived 28 sword strikes during a bullfight in 1879. Its very fitting that Lamborghini decided to throw a set of wings (air intakes) on their flagship V12 supercar.
This photo is a composite of two images. The Murciélago and the roadway were shot in South Florida during a supercar run back in December 2011. I searched around on Google Images for a background that would work well with the foreground. I performed a simple background replacement via Adobe Photoshop and this is the result.
